Join the Leiden Science Run and run for the LUF Children's Fund
Are you ready for an energetic challenge full of team spirit and fun? On Saturday 21 June 2025, the Leiden Science Run is back! To celebrate 450 years of Leiden University, we’ll be running a relay of 4.5 kilometres (per runner) right through the vibrant Leiden Bio Science Park.
Form a team of four, lace up your running shoes, and support the LUF Children’s Fund. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out with colleagues, friends, or fellow students – everyone is welcome! Start a team and pay just €25 – your three team members can then join for free.

First Aid
First aid staff from the Red Cross will be present throughout the day. If you need medical assistance, please report to the registration/information desk.
Accessibility and parking
We recommend coming to the Leiden Science Run by public transport or by bike. If you're coming by car, you can park in the Ehrenfestgarage (Ehrenfestweg 1).
Catering
At the finish line, all Leiden Science Run participants will receive a banana and a bottle of water. During the event, free coffee, tea, water and lemonade will be available.
11:45 – Warm-up led by the University Sports Centre
12:00 – Start of the Leiden Science Run
15:00 – Award ceremony
16:00 – End of the Leiden Science Run
